Vietnamese interest in Danish education

A Vietnamese delegation is in Denmark to visit vocational institutions and take part in a seminar at the Ministry of Education.

Economic development is rife in Vietnam, placing increased demands on the country’s education system. A Vietnamese delegation is in Denmark 18-20 September as part of an official state visit. The delegation will meet Copenhagen Hospitality College in Valby and TEC vocational college in Hvidovre.

“It is pleasing that Vietnam is taking an interest in Danish education. For many years, we have worked to establish strong international relations in terms of education policy. Hopefully Vietnam will get inspiration from Danish institutions on how to educate skilled labour in areas like transport and tourism in which Vietnam is experiencing rapid development. In Denmark we have spent many years creating appealing vocational options, educating young and old people and upgrading their skills. This is at the centre of the Danish government’s program,” says Danish Minister of Education, Christine Antorini.

As part of the visit, the Danish Ministry of Education has arranged a seminar for the delegation, Danish businesses and educational institutions. The aim is to strengthen co-operation with a view to potential export of educations.
