The Danish University of Education offers a Master of Education programme in guidance and counselling. It is a qualifying further training programme available to guidance counsellors from all sectors. It is equivalent to one year of full-time studies (60 ECTS points) but is usually taken as part-time studies over a couple of years.
Entry requirements for the master’s programme are a completed relevant bachelor or candidatus (master) programme and at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
The programme consists of four modules (15 ECTS points each):
- Theory of guidance counselling
- Guidance counselling and the society
- The practice of guidance counselling
- Master project.
