Access to primary and secondary education
It is a priority of the Government that citizens are to be affected as little as possible in case of a hard Brexit.
In view of a potential no deal-scenario the Danish government has put forward a legislative proposal aiming at establishing a temporary transitional scheme maintaining existing EU-rights with regard to access to education for British citizens and their family members for a transitional period.
In terms of vocational education and training the transitional legislation will maintain your rights with regard to state subsidies including wage subsidies as well as financial support for vocational students.
In terms of primary schools the transitional legislation will maintain your rights with regard to state subsidies (free elementary schools, secondary schools and free vocational schools) as well as the right to mother-tongue teaching (primary and lower secondary schools).
The transitional legislation will apply until replaced by a permanent solution.
